All material ordered from Wicked Castle comes to you immediately through a "download link" that you will see in a receipt in your browser window as soon as your credit card is processed. (Books In Print are ordered from "Print On Demand" Press Lulu.com - See information about this below.) Currently, all books in Wicked Castle are sold in a .html format. This requires NO special software to read - if you have the browser to visit the site and to order, you have the software needed to open the files.

We are currently selling our books in .html format only, but will be adding Adobe Acrobat format (pdf) shortly. An .html format book can be read on your computer, printed directly, or opened in Microsoft Word and printed from there. This format can also be imported into several popular handheld devices for reading books, such as Hiebook.

After you complete your order, you will see a receipt in your browser window. Towards the bottom of this receipt, you will see links to click that will download your order to your computer automatically. (If you entered an accurate E-mail during the order process you should also get a back up receipt via E-mail.)

The books are in a .zip file format - this file should open automatically on most computers. Please note that - depending on your browser settings - a few customers might see a message after entering their credit card info "warning" you that you are going to an insecure site and asking if you wish to proceed. If you see this message, your card has ALREADY been processed through our secure servers (where all credit card data is processed and stored) and you are being returned to this site to pick up your stories. If you click "no," that you do not want to proceed, you will not see your receipt and will not get your stories.

Please remember that all the books on this site are copyrighted. Once a book is printed, you may lend it to a friend just as you might lend a book you bought at the bookstore, but the electronic version of the stories may not be shared, E-mailed, or downloaded to more than one computer. Doing so is a copyright violation. Our authors have worked very hard on their stories. Just as you expect - and deserve - to be paid for your work, so do our authors. Please respect their work by not violating copyrights.

Please download all stories before proceeding. If you close the browser window that contains your receipt, you will not be able to get it back. You should, however, still be able to pick up your stories by using the links in the back-up E-mail you receive. All links expire in 24 hours. You must download your stories before then.

Some of our books are available in a printed format as well. Click the "Books in Print" link on your left to see which books are available. Please remember that Wicked Castle "Books in Print" are produced for us by Lulu.com. We've been using Lulu with some of our other sites for several months and have heard nothing but good things - but if you order from Lulu, you are not ordering from us - we have no control over or information about your order.
